Back Up - Adobe error message

When backing up it says it's successful, however I cannot access the file as it says:

Adobe Reader could not open 'SagePay.New Priory Vets Brighton Ltd.5315.001' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was set as an email attachement and wasn't correctly decoded'

Can you help me?

    A backup that has been taken in Sage Payroll can't be opened outside of the software. This because Windows can't read the file.

    The data on a backup can only be viewed by restoring it in Sage Payroll. Ideally, there would be no reason to restore a backup. The backup is taken as a precaution, meaning that you can always restore to that point in time if necessary.

    We only recommend restoring a backup if you need to go back to reprocess or, if restoring into a new installation.
