Are reports created at the main site synchronized to remote data access user?

If I create a new report as Manager at the main site, and put the report in one of the standard report folders, NOT My XXXX reports, will that report then get synchronized across to remote data access users when they next log in?

What setting should the remote data access user have in Settings, Company Preferences, Reporting in the check box for "Use Data Path for Reports"?

Thanks

So I have been doing a bit of experimenting.  If I create a new user (I'm using v28.0.226.0) and give them remote data access, when I download the company data set for the first time at the remote site, I get the .dta files fine in the ACCDATA folder as normal.  However, none of the reports or layouts from the main site are downloaded into the remote site.  In the LAYOUTS folder on the company data path I just get a set of the standard layouts, NONE of my custom layouts from the main site are copied/downloaded.

At the remote site, if I select "Use data path for reports" ALL the report folders on the data path are empty. The folder structure is there, but there are NO .report files in the folders at all.

If I uncheck "Use data path for reports" at the remote site, I just get a set of standard reports from the e.g. C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\2022\Company.000\REPORTS\Customer\Aged Debtors Reports folder.

How are we supposed to get custom reports and layouts to remote data access users?  Do we have to manually copy the files and install them in the appropriate folders at the remote sites?

Odd, I edit reports on either of the two machines I run Sage on and they are synchronised all fine.  I don't have "Use Data Path for Reports" ticked on either machine.

Just checking, I have the reports in C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\2021\Company.000\Layouts that are the same on both machines.

Whilst I'm also on v28 upgraded from v27, all my data is still in the 2021 directory structure and not the 2022 structure which would be the default for a fresh v28 install and a new company (I think that would be the case).

Yes, that is what I assumed would be the default behaviour on a first sync using RDA.  But no custom layouts or reports were downloaded to the remote sites. The client is still on 27.1.562.0 at the moment and had the same issue as my test v28 company.  I'm going to manually zip and download the reports and layouts to the remote sites for now.
