That sounds as if there may be some corrupt data unfortunately. To help prove that, does the VAT Return crash if you run it for an alternative company or in your Demonstration data? If the Return runs in a different company it confirms the issue is data related.

I would recommend running a data check to see if errors are reported. If there are errors, you could restore a backup, or if that would involve too much data reprocessing you can check if the errors can be repaired using this website >

I already run the data check and it will not work. it is clearly a data corruption because other companies it is working fine.

I agree, that would certainly suggest corruption as well. If the software crashes in the VAT Return and in the Check Data routine, then restoring a pre-corruption backup would be the next option.
