I have had issues with slow performance on Sage instances connected to the data files stored on our Windows 10 machine.

I uninstalled the Data Service V27.1 and rebooted the machine.

I had to remove Sage 50 Accounts Control v27 manually using the command prompt sc delete "Sage 50 Accounts Control v27".

I rebooted again.

Now when I attempt to reinstall I get the following error.

Error 1920: Service "Sage 50 Accounts Control v27" (Sage 50 Accounts Control v27) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

My windows 10 in fully updated and I have tried all the troubleshooting for the 1920 Error.

I have watched the Services window during an installation attempt and the required Sage Services are all created but it seems the Sage 50 Accounts Control v27 cannot be started.  Then the installation rolls back the service installs, and then fails.

I am logged in as a local admin and the installer is run as administrator.

I have disabled AV and Firewall with no joy.

Somebody help please.
