  • It is currently taking me 45 minutes to do two backups each evening before I leave work. I was aware there was an automatic backup facility but thought everyone would have to be logged off Sage before we could back it up... This is something I will have to investigate.
  • Do you have to be logged on as Manager for the backups to run each day if automatically set? I don't log in as Manager on a daily basis but if I set it up from Manager logon, then daily log in using my usual log in will it still run in the background?
  • Hi Donna,

You must be logged in as Manager to set up and schedule your backups to run automatically. However, you don’t have to be logged in as Manager at the time that the backups are scheduled to run for. The scheduled backups will still run in the background if you’re logged in as your usual username.

You can refer to Ask Sage article 32103 for full details on how to schedule backups using the Sage Accounts Backup Manager.
