I would recommend first taking a backup. Then go to File > Maintenance > Reindex and select the Reindex Invoices check box. Click, Ok, Yes and if given the option, elect to Compress Now. close the compression window and run the Check Data option. If no errors are reported, attempt to access invoicing again.
