Sage are currently reviewing all of the ideas from our customers with the view to include those that have gained the most votes in a future release.
Unfortunately, since posting your wish it has not gained enough support from other members for it to be considered for inclusion in a future release.

Currently we can only request payment from customers if an outstanding invoice exists.
Please can we be allowed to take payments on account from customers?
The scenario this would apply to is an annual servicing contract where the amount of the service is unknown and the customer wants to pay in advance on a monthly basis so that when the service happens and the invoice is raised, they have already paid most of it in advance, thus spreading the cost for the customer.
