Issues with downgrading from Professional to Line 50Cloud Standard

Good afternoon

Over the last two days I have been speaking with your support team about issues I have with Sage Line 50 since downgrading from Professional.

The original problem I had has been resolved by Lauren and now other issues have materialised.

We have downgraded our Sage from Professional to Line 50 Cloud standard.

I was told that I would have Quotations and Invoicing only and would lose the Sales Orders and Purchase Orders which was acceptable to us as these were not used.

We use quotations to send out to clients and may have to wait for anything up to 10 months for that quote to get accepted.

Once a quote is accepted, having been altered or kept to original quote, we then marked it as WON, after which we amended it to DESPATCHED and the quote went to invoicing.

We now find that when a quote is produced it is numbered with the next sequential INVOICE No and immediately appears in Invoicing module although it is marked QTE.

The suggestion that we delete quotes not accepted immediately, this is not an option as it may get accepted in the future.

My opinion is that the module called Sales Orders should have been renamed Sales Quotes and the Quotation module deleted from Sage Line50 cloud, then we would have been able to amend the quote to Despatch and produce an Invoice as the programme did before.

Sales quotes should have a separate no from INVOICING again as it did before.

This morning I was asked to go on line and complete a form in Sage Roadmap, this I have tried to do twice and each time it has reported an error which it stated that Sage knew about.

Because of the issues we are now experiencing we are wondering should we have stayed with the professional version or whether Sage is really the correct programme to be using
