The contra tool should allow the posting date to be specified as it can be for the date of a payment or receipt.

The system currently uses the date the contra is posted with no option to change this. This can lead to problems with the debtors and creditors controls especially whn the posting date is in a new accounts year.

The contra  date can be edited in the transaction list but this requires two edits for every contra posted using the contra tool.
