Script Error during MTD Submission

At the point of Sage opening a browser window to enter HMRC gateway logon details, a script error occurs on the page. Neither yes/no response to the dialog progresses the submission.

Obtaining the properties of page and pasting the url into Chrome, no script errors occur and it is possible to enter the gateway credentials but obviously this doesn't feedback to Sage 50.

Prior return submitted OK.  Tried different PC/user, manager logon, anti-virus disabled, firewall disabled, deleted temp files, run as administrator.

Sage 50c 25.1.128.0.

Any suggestions?

Thanks Harry.

    Hi Harry,

    Thanks for using Sage City.

    To resolve this:

    1. Close Sage Accounts.
    2. Browse to C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts. ProgramData may be a hidden folder, this article explains how to make it available.
    3. Locate the file 'Launchpadsettings.xml' and right-click it, then click Rename and rename it as LaunchpadSettings.old
    4. Restart Sage Accounts, re-open the reconciled VAT Return and try again.

You can also upgrade to Sage 50cloud Accounts v26.

    Hi Paul,

After posting this yesterday I did more searching on the Ask Sage site and found an article suggesting that solution when the browser dialog was blank.  The article suggested the same steps as you, unfortunately it didn't work.

I have since tried internet explorer and firefox as the default browsers (as well as Edge and Chrome) and checked that javascript was enabled.

The last submission was OK, but the pcs have since been replaced (not upgraded) running Windows 10 Pro.

    Thanks Harry.
