Upgrade from v24 to v25.1 - What a joke and Support have not been much use at all.

So we had v24 running on AWS (Amazon Web services) using 3 workstations and a server all 2016 instances.

V24 has worked for ages with no problems on a shared data drive.

After problems we completely removed Sage from the server and one of the Workstations.

Reinstalled , set up a new Company choose to share the data when asked as its a multi user system 

Did the same on the workstation client but did not choose to share any data.

Serial numbers were already registered.

The issue is that the workstation will not communicate with the server when using the program and the Data Services manager (NOTHING CHANGED FROM V24 setup)

The data shares work perfectly with no issue - can create files and remove them on the server from the workstation.

SAGE Support tells me its a firewall or AV issue ....

so we turned all firewalls off - added a bunch of exclusions to AV (Windows Defender) STILL DOES NOT WORK !!!!!!

SUPPORT have refused to help any further / as they say its my problem not theirs , and no escalation procedure exists and guess what we HAVE SAGE COVER too ...

When the helpful sage support person says he knows nothing about firewalls and something is blocking the network connection .. that's the problem...

I tried to explain its common practice to turn firewalls off to determine if they are the cause of an issue , he still insisted the firewall might be an issue - I gave upon at this point

I have changed ti AV and added all sorts of exclusions but to no avail ???

HOW COME IT ALL WORKED ON V24 !!!!!!

    Thanks for using Sage City.

    I'm sorry to hear you're having issues upgrading to v25. There could be a few reasons why the client computer isn't reading from the main. I'm not sure how much has been done already on your side as I can't access your account notes without your details, which I don't want you to post in this forum.

    However, can you let me know if you're receiving any errors on Sage please?
