MTD - submission confirmation

hi, 

we submitted our 1st return using sage to comply with MTD a week ago. message on the screen showed it was successful. i have a print out from sage with "correlation ID assigned to this vat return by hmrc" and even a print screen from sage with congratulations message. to my surprise, when i went to vat module a week later to submit payment details, it showed that the submission was pending. i tried to follow the steps listed on sage help page: https://ask.sage.co.uk/scripts/ask.cfg/php.exe/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=44966 . unfortunately i'm unable to do any of it. i contacted support on online chat, but they weren't of much help and even told me i need to re-submit it again! in th end i contacted hmrc and they confirmed receipt. is this a common problem? how will i know in the future a submission was successful? why the submission confirmation button is not available and "SageMTDBridge" folder does not exist?

    Hi Nolka,

    Thanks for using Sage City.

    As you've received a correlation ID from HMRC, this means the submission has been successful.

    To change the submission from Pending to Submitted in your Sage software, open the relevant VAT return from the VAT module and select the Mark as submitted check box.

    Many thanks for reply Paul. I received a phone call from Sage yesterday with an update. I thought i'll post it here as it might have worried some people that the MTD Vat return has not been sent.

    Apparently this is a technical issue that they are working on. A number of customers have reported it. Submission details are saved successfully, but when Sage is closed and re-opened for some reason it removes all submission details including correlation ID. I realise that I can mark it as submitted, but this is a rather temporary solution. Until there is a fix for it, this is what they suggested: Sage emailed me a report template that I can run to see the submission confirmation.
