EC Sales List

Hi, I can submit VAT returns through Sage 50c, we have the latest version etc, but it will not let me submit the EC Sales List. It comes up with error code 1046, which is an authentication error. The solutions seem to be, check you have an up to date version, which we do, check your credentials, which I have & delete all your credentials & try again, which I haven't done as it will submit the VAT returns. Any ideas?

Hi Nicky.

Thanks for using Sage City.

If you should be submitting under Making Tax Digital, ensure you're using v24.2 or above. This version number will show in Help > About in the software.

In that same screen, check your variant to make sure you're using Sage 50cloud Accounts.

If you can also go in to Settings > Company Preferences >VAT tab and make sure 'Enable MTD for VAT submissions' is ticked.

I have exactly the same issue. Have successfully filed an MTD VAT return directly from Sage (so all settings must be correct), but cannot file an EC sales list: I get error code 1046.

I therefore filed it manually by logging in to the HMRC system and typing in the numbers. How do I now tell Sage that the Sales List has been filed, as it still says pending?
