Sage Drive - Synching issues

We have a client with a pc that rums as the main site ,for a few companies, this pc is not logged into sage unless their is an issue

does the data automatically synch to this pc from sage drive when not logged into sage accounts ?, or does the Main site need to regularly sign in to each of the accounts ?

    Hi,

    Thanks for using Sage City.

    Sage Drive will sync on that computer regardless if Sage is logged in or not, the machine will however need an internet connection to maintain the sync.

    The other remote sites won't be updated either. The main site is the most important PC really as it holds the live data and should be the PC that is used the most

    so to reiterate - if the main site is only logged in once , to become the main site , any updates by the remote sites are only updated on the main site when this is logged in ?

    Hi,

    Sorry that you've had conflicting information. Sage 50 and Sage Drive talk to something called the Sage 50 Data Service. The data service is what controls Sage Drive and runs in the background 24/7, it can even be ran without an installation of Sage 50 Accounts. This service controls the uploads and downloads of Sage Drive.

    This rely's on you having a valid Sage ID on the main site, it expires every 6 months. If you fail to have a valid Sage ID the sync will stop until you next login.
