AUTOENTRY

SOLVED

Had a bad experience with this software and surprised of the alliance with SAGE.

However, now I have had a bite of the apple and the 6 clients that agreed to be guinea pigs whilst we evaluated autoentry. I need to look for an alternative, any ideas?

Paperless might be an option. Your not alone with your bad experience of AE.

AE does have some good features, and whilst I believe the programme has got better, once you get a problem with it which is not easily fixed, the support is diabolical.

AE support has an aggravating inclination for tickets to be passed between support members who only ever seem to read the last couple of comments and not the entire history. I've been waiting for well over a month now for an issue to be looked into and here we are with still no direction from AE. It's very poor.

Looked at this one too and Dext, we had a short demo on that one last week. The salesmen do not seem to understand the need to have description and multi line invoice posting and a whole host of other things. Disappointing.

What is more disappointing is that SAGE do not seem to care!!

You have obviously not looked at all the correspondence between my company and AE, or you have not been given access to it as it is so bad.

If AE worked, we would certainly be using it, as the overview is good. But the delays, the ability to do something and then it does not, is frustrating to say the least.

We/I should be billing AE for my time spent on it

As for the support team - when you have had the support from the SAGE team - there just is no comparison.

I even asked to go and visit a site using AE successfully - oh boy, thought I heard jaws hitting the deck.

    Says it all............................

Hi Judy, I have reviewed your chats and I do apologise as we have had issues over the last few weeks. Our dev team are continuing to work on these issues at the moment. If you are still having issues with the Sage 50 integration I can call you and arrange a remote in to look into this further? Thanks Tara

But with all due respect Tara, I've asked you to call me on at least two occasions and you never do so. I have an open ticket and I have complete and utter confidence this will be ignored.

Hi there, your ticket was closed due to a Sage restriction. I advised our dev team to look into this further with Sage to see if there is something they can implement. Once I have more information for you I can call you to discuss. Thanks, Tara

My personal opinion is to walk away before you get too invested in it.

From my understanding the combination of Sage not being a true cloud system and AE being designed for more modern programming causes most issues.

If you are going to use AE my user advice is with any issue, just reset your AE app use task manager to shut down all AE apps and restart them. This fixes 90% of the connection and stupid issues we have had, then redo the work that's missing or manually attach the invoices in sage, some invoices never get posted via AE, don't waste time pushing them back through to AE's processing just attach them in sage manually.

Your rejected invoice folder in AE will be massive if it's like ours for no apparent reason, some invoices work, some don't. Keep checking or you will have suppliers chasing for payment.

When you get invoices where the link is broken and you can't see the pdf copies, make sure to tell AE you don't know how many links are broken, otherwise the ticket will fix that 1 missing invoice.

Certain invoices it will never "learn how to read", you will always have to fill in details, to add to the frustration its normally anything with multiple pages and 100's of lines.

Then when you leave you have to keep paying them to store the invoices on their system or you just get an unusable, unsorted folder with 10000's of unsearchable files back.

Therefore if you are using AE you are stuck with them for 7 years.

Be very careful if you go for it.
