Filtering customers by currency when posting a customer receipt

SUGGESTED

We use Sage 50 cloud accounts V27

We use multiple currencies within our company.

Each bank and customer account can only accept transactions for one currency type. eg we have GBP accounts, Euro accounts and USD accounts

When we post a customer receipt within the banking module ALL customer accounts are visible in the drop down box.

If you try to post a receipt to a bank account with one currency and a customer account with a different currency you get a warning message and the transaction is cleared.

Is it possible to filter the customers which appear in the dropdown box so that when you post a receipt to a bank account only the customers with the same currency default are shown? This would eliminate the need for the warning message and speed up the input time as you are not searching through accounts to which you are unable to post anyway.

I guess the same would also apply to supplier payments to supplier accounts.

On a connected theme how about allowing you to filter out inactive accounts when posting too?

    Hi Chris.

When you open the customer dropdown from Customer Receipt, you should have a filter button at the bottom of the dropdown. You can click that and add a filter to only display customers with a specific currency, as shown below. You can combine that with the inactive filter as well. Hope that helps.

Hi, just tried that and it works BUT... once set it applies the same filter to all bank accounts so when I applied it to a Euro bank account I only got Euro customers - fantastic. Then I went into a GBP bank account and only got Euro customers.
It works but you have to tweak the filter every time you change bank accounts rather than the filter only applying to the bank account in which you set it up.
Nevertheless I shall give it a go and see if it speeds things up.
    Thanks for the help

Hi Chris. Yes the filter does not reset between bank accounts. If it helps speed things a little bit, you can save filters and load them to save on having to retype them every time. Thanks.
