ALL DASHBOARD REMOVED

SUGGESTED

We have recently upgraded to version 27.0.469.0 and we have noticed the Sage has removed all the Dashboards. The stock dash board was used all the time to re order low stock, now we are being told we have to first run a report and then re-enter everything in a purchase order manually, When you have over 5000 items to order at any one time a 5 min job is now a 5 hour job. Any work around to auto purchase stock?

Its crazy to remove Dashboards when these are used in most programs in one way or another.

In my version (24) there is a product shortfall icon at the top of the products list. I use it to create a PO for my primary supplier. However I dont know if it will create POs for each suppliers items in one hit as we are not in that situation

    Hi Paul,

Give Phil Cox a call at Xapsys +44 (0)7973 148515. We have done this for Sage 200 clients so it might well be a simple fix to run it for Sage 50.

    Cheers

Our research showed that the dashboards were actually amongst the least used areas of the application and the decision was taken to remove them.

Sorry to hear you are affected by the removal of the dashboards but one thing I'm not clear on is the suggestion of running a report and manually entering purchase order items. The dashboards were effectively just running reports and provided no capability to auto generate any data. The product dashboard did have a link to launch the shortfall dialog if this is what you are referring to? If so, as mentioned by the shortfall functionality is also available via a toolbar button in the product list. The shortfall tool bar button and functionality has been in the product list for quite a few versions now and still remains in the v27 release so hopefully it is just a case of simply launching it from there.
