Our Brexit release for v27.1 will include the EORI number within company preferences along with other changes to be compliant,

This update doesn't include the EORI number on customer or supplier records as our understanding is that it's not a requirement and only needed at  a company level for commercial invoices.

If you have a source for your information to say it's mandatory on customers and suppliers could you provide it and I'll get the compliance team to look into it.

We use our Sage template invoices for the commercial invoices.  Surely we're not the only company that does that?

You'll be able to add your companies EORI number to the commercial invoice template but we're not aware of any requirement for the customer or supplier EORI number to show.

You could still add this by using one of the analysis fields on the customer record under Defaults and adding that variable to your invoice template so it picks it up as the EORI number.

With a commercial invoice unlike a VAT invoice, there are no official guidelines on what one should contain. Although Fedex are saying that they want to see it doesn't necessarily make it a compliance requirement.

We would advise using the Analysis field on the customer/supplier record under Defaults for this. This can then be added to the invoice layout.

I have spoken to the product owner and requested it is something we can consider for the future.

We need this too!

From what I've been reading we need to update our customer records this end and send the EORI number with packages so it is handled properly at the desitination countries customs service, not adding the EORI number could mean the package is not handled correctly.

The company EORI number is currently the only EORI number required to show on an invoice layout to be compliant. Some companies may require other information but this doesn't necessarily make it a compliance requirement.

We would advise using the Analysis field on the customer/supplier record under Defaults for this as a workaround. This can then be added to the invoice layout to show their EORI number.

It will be something we willl consider going forward.

This is good news - for those that drop ship in Europe  We need the EORI numbers added to the contacts and address within the record also.
