THIS IS A FOLLOW UP FROM AN OLD THREAD BY IAN CAIRNS, REGARDING TRYING TO DELETE PRODUCTS. WHATEVER I DO MY PC JUST HANGS. BELOW IS THE LAST MESSAGE IN THE THREAD. I TRIED THIS AGAIN TODAY AND AFTER 5 HOURS OF HANGING I CRASHED OUT. THE ERROR MESSAGE WAS:

One thing you may want to try is doing a re-index and compress on your product records prior to doing the delete routine. This will ensure the database is in a good position to perform such a data intensive routine.

You can find out about reindex and how to run it here. Please take a backup before running it.

I would again recommend running this on the server machine that holds the company data.
