Prices don't align correctly when emailing a service invoice in PDF format

SUGGESTED

Hi,

This is a known issue which has been previously raised within the forum - I am hoping that someone has found a resolution!

When I create and print a service invoice the layout is as it should be; however, when I email the invoice the prices are out of alignment. I can print to PDF format, save the file, and manually attach to an email but this is a long winded way of doing something that I should be able to do directly from the program.

There is an article within the Sage Knowledge-base regarding this issue:

http://ask.sage.co.uk/scripts/ask.cfg/php.exe/enduser/intouch_article_view.php?p_faqid=36831&DIV=SBD

I have tried changing the link position anchor within Report Designer (as per the article) to all possible combinations but it still doesn't display the invoice as it should.

I have also contacted Sage Support; they remotely connected to my PC and also tried making various changes to the link position anchor but still couldn't resolve the issue!

Someone must have the answer!!

Thanks

Bryon

    Hi Bryon,

    Thanks for using Sage City.

Apologies for the late reply to this. We changed over Sage City and some queries were missed by mistake.

The issue with the prices not aligning to the bottom of the text when creating a service invoice is a known issue, as you have stated in your message you have spoken to tech support regarding this.

The fix/work around is to link the value variable to the top of the text variable, the result of this is the value will appear next to the top of the text on your service invoice rather than the bottom.

As this is the only fix we have for this issue we advise to write out your service invoices with this in mind. You can enter the information regarding the costs in line one for example so the price is in line with the service, then create a second line on the invoice for the additional information regarding the service where no value is needed.
