Do you have any filters set in the invoices tab?

Does the customer activity entry have an right pointing arrow in a circle against the date ?

If it does you should be able to click on that arrow and view the invoice and make changes assuming that you havent already posted the invoice to the ledgers..

If it doesnt then you'll have do a credit note and recreate the invoice.
