management accounts. Printing P&l and COA

Hi all, I’m returning to work from a career break.

The role I’m in has been left and not updated.

im trying to get an upto date P&L and COA.

its hard as the p& l does not equal nor does the other Reports.

how can I get it to equal or how can I check the following are correct.

revenues

P&L

HMRC figures

before And after Taxes

Im still trying to get to grips with the reports and not having yr end since 2017 nor month ends.

I really am hoping to get the Business Owners the right figures and the whole system upto date.

I don’t know where to start.

How can I get firstly the Income reports for instance?

  • Hi.

    Thanks for using Sage City.

I think the best thing to do on this occasion is give us a call on 0191 479 5955 so we can take a closer look in to everything and check on the best way to get you back up to date.

There are some common questions here, 23458, which may give you some additional help on the profit and loss figures.

    Regards.

    Thanks for your pointers,

I’m first thinking of going way back from when it was accurate and work myself up to now?

Its going to take a while but I guess printing some nominal reports from then and monthly until now?

would that help reconciling it all gradually?

any other fast track ways would be great if anyone has any.

    Xx

    Hi.

Yes you could work from then, up to now.

It might also be worth clicking on transactions down the left hand side of Sage > click audit trail form the top and print the summary or detailed report to give you a list of all your transactions.

    Regards.

Cheers. I printed a trial balance prior yr and it balanced.

when I wanted to have a trial balance for Dec- future it does not.

because we haven’t done yr end for 2918

How can I get a correct trial balance for 1st Jan 2019- 31st May 2919 when all I can select is future?

is there another way in doing it for Jan, Feb, Mar, May 2019 with out having to use the option in selecting the previous years dates and only have future to choose?

When I have selected future the figures in previous do change?

    xx
