Why is it so difficult to move items from one project to another?

SUGGESTED

We use projects for each site we work on. Sometimes we do not anticipate that the site will develop into a full project so we "bucket" the items into a general company project. If the site does take off it would be useful to move those items in the "bucket" to the real project. I don't see how this can be done. Any ideas?

    Hi Joanne,

    Thanks for using Sage City.

If you’re not able to edit a transaction to make changes to it then you can reverse it and then repost it with the correct details. You can follow the steps in this guide to do this and to find out more about correcting transactions in the software.

Unfortunately this would not work, as per mentioned in my post, we only need to move a fraction of the transaction line - eg 50 x 70m pipes ordered on one project and only 5 being moved to a different project, the item line just shows 1 item (pack of 50) as it was a bulk price order. I need to calculate the cost of 5 and move them.  I guess the only way is Project Credit the one where the 50 sit and Project Charge where they are being moved!
