Re-order/minimum level warnings when entering orders

A customer started setting up the re-order/minimum order levels against stock expecting that this feature already existed; that when users were entering an order that would take the stock quantity below either the re-order or minimum level they would receive a prompt, or the field would become highlighted like it would if there was not enough stock (but in a different colour, to advise of this..

Hello John, I find the min max reorder levels not very good as they are static and therefore not linked to what is actuality been sold each month, I created an SQL query which looks at the last purchase quantity and the current stock I pick this up in excel spreadsheet and with a simple formula a percentage of stock against the last purchase quantity this gives me a list of items that require reordering
