Journal Template Upload

It would be so beneficial to have capability for people to use a template in excel and upload journals in to Sage, rather than sitting within Sage and typing everything out in to the Journal. This would be beneficial especially at year end when excel is used a lot to prepare journals and keep a running log, to then upload at a later stage.

Many thanks for adding this idea to Sage City. As Gary has already commented, this feature already exists in the software.

It isn't currently possible for imported journals to update the VAT return. There is however an item on the Ideas Hub for importing vatable journals - https://www.sagecity.com/gb/sage-200cloud-uk/i/sage-200cloud-uk-ideas/amend-journal-upload-to-allow-vat-types-to-be-imported

Hi, you can import Journals in Sage200, the sample files are in the help files here: http://desktophelp.sage.co.uk/sage200/professional/Content/General/IMPORT_ImportLedgerFile.htm?cshid=Sage_MMS_NominalLedger_ImportNominalLedgerDataForm under "Import Nominal Transactions"
