Export Ledger for Tax Auditors (WinIdea)

we need to export the nominal ledger for the german tax auditors. The tax auditors in Germany require the files, that can be imported to WinIDEA for data analyses. 

The problem is, that we know how to do this under Sage 100 (over the Sage Administrator) but we do not find a solution for Sage 200. 
Is the approach the same or do we need an extra add in to export the files?

    You've not specified what the file formats are, but if they are delimited files (and typically in Germany they would be semicolon delimted) then the usual way to achieve this would be to create a report in the Sage 200 Report Designer which can be output as a delimited file, or exported to Excel and saved as a delimited file that way.

    Alternatively you can go straight to the database and pull the data out that way. Or if your Business Partner is a developer then maybe they could do what I do for my clients - which is to write a custom export routine that will just create the output file in the desired format in one go.

    Thank you for the fast reply! We now use the Sage 200 Report Designer for the output. 

    Edit: we export it as csv
