Hi, as far as I can tell, A&B get the notification for a PO to authorise (the can both see that the other one has also received the email)

If A authorises it, B has no idea that this has happened and neither does the PO raiser. 

Only when B authorises if after A does it then go back to PO raiser to say it's been authorised?

Is this the case? is there any way around this?
