Do Sage check that their certified products are compatible with one another?

We are trying to use both Datalinx Warehouse Manager and PaperLess invoice recognition software but the two are not compatible.

Warehouse manager changes the way GRN's are produced in Sage i.e. when using Sage 200 normally a single GRN will be produced for all order lines on a single delivery, whilst using Warehouse Manager a unique GRN will be produced for every order line.

When you get a partial delivery Paperless uses the Sage produced GRN to match order lines to an invoice and this can't happen using Warehouse Manager.

I'm surprised that Sage certified Warehouse Manager by Datalinx at all when it makes such a fundamental change to how Sage 200 works.

Does anyone have a work around ?

    3rd party apps made for Sage200 may be certified but Sage wouldnt test any 3rd party applications together, or indeed at all - simply put it isnt really down to them.  Also what you find is most 3rd party developers wont talk to each other, so the only way to find out, is for the business partner to test for themselves or with the customer on a test system.  Not ideal but thats the only way.

    Regarding a workaround, maybe talking to Datalinx would be next.

    I've already spoken to Datalinx, their response was far from encouraging. It included such gems as "..I couldn't tell you I don't know how Sage 200 works" and "I don't know what invoice recognition software is".

    Pretty sad hearing that, though as i say, 3rd party developers just try and ignore other apps.   Are there not other add-ons rather than Datalinx (like Sicon) that could work better for you?

    Matthew, I would concur with what Gary has said, the Sicon Barcoding & Warehousing and Sicon Documents solutions should meet the requirements of both of these packages and they do work together.

    Probably not the answer you were looking for, but I believe that Datalinx are not actively 'pushing' Warehouse Manager for Sage 200 due to the announcement last year regarding Sage & Sicon 'teaming' up.
