MTD and Visibility to the Sage 200 community of ongoing/ emerging issues

Hi,

I gather from speaking to one of the chaps on Sage 200 technical support that there may be emerging issues with trying to submit Making Tax Digital returns across a number of Sage applications. This manifests itself when the E-submission module gets to "Acquiring VAT obligations", no VAT periods show to select from resulting in the end user stuck in a constant loop of trying again and again. Sage 50 and Sage 200 appears to use the same or similar E-Submissions component.

Right now the advice seems to be:

Ensure you give it 72 hours after getting your confirmation from HMRC you have signed up for Making Tax Digital (as of now this would be submissions classified as in the 'Pilot' phase)

To keep trying the submission, with an emphasis on trying at a quiet point of the day such as after 5pm whilst this is being investigated.

I've fed-back on the Sage 200 article to see if it could be updated but I wonder if Sage are able to provide a solution to increase the visibility of issues. Something more instant and real time such as pinning a notification to the top of this forum with a link to the Ask Sage article, or maybe even an addition to the Trust.Sage.com page for MTD/ VAT?
