We currently use a spreadsheet to generate quotes, this spreadsheet is very formula tastic - shows when sales advisors need to get approval on a price, when we sell stuff too cheap, etc.

We previously sat in on a demo of the Sage 200 Quoting module - the issue we had was that A) there was no approval boundary B) there was no mention on margins/money made on a line C) there was only the function of converting that specific quote to a sales order, ie with all quantities and products. Once converted the prices do not however appear on customer special price lists.

When quoting - we do not tend to quote "per job" we quote a bundle of approx 20 codes, for our customers to cherry pick and order at various quantites, our line of business does not allow for us to quote per order.

Does anyone use sage similarly or know how we can improve our process please?
