Sage 200 budget allocation/amendment

SOLVED
Is there a way of adding budget values within a project? For example, we have a project agreed for £5,000.00 materials, £2,000.00 sub-contractors and £1,000.00 lab analysis = total £8,000.00. When the contractors are on-site they realise they need additional materials of £6,000.00 and place an order for them. I want to know if it’s possible for the system to reject this on the basis that the budget is set to £5,000.00 and that can’t be exceeded. If the amount is agreed to be raised, is it possible to adjust it?
Many thanks!

Budgeting is available on projects, the option must first be switched on in Project Accounting Settings, but a standard it won't give you a warning if you have gone over budget.

Budgets can also be set on Nominal Account codes, which can then be set to warn when Authorising a Purchase Order if spend goes over the annual budget for the selected Nominal code.

Perhaps your 200 Business Partner can provide a modification to the Purchase Order functionality to add this feature.
