Hi Jeff Smith,
Thanks for reaching out! If your accountant works with the Sage 50 CA Accountants version of the software, then at year end you can create a special version of the database that they can work with to make miscellaneous transactions entries. Here's a blog with full details.
In short, to get started, ***Backup your database first*** and then go to the File menu > Accountants Copy > Create Accountants Copy
Hope this helps!

Hi, Jeff. In addition to Erzsi_i's comment below, I'd suggest asking your accountant if they prefer the 'accountants' copy' type of backup or an ordinary backup. If they prefer an ordinary backup, then you just need to go to the Backup option in Sage and make a backup with a suitable name, such as 'For accountant - xxxx yearend'.
I am using sage accounting online. Is there a way to do it online?
Hi Jeff Smith
Thanks for clarifying which product you are using. I am going to move this post to that Support Group so that other users of this software will see it.
For Sage Accounting Canada, you would typically just share access to your online company file with your accountant and give them the "Accountant" role (See this article). There's a special version of Sage Accounting for accountants that allows them enhanced admin access to the software.
Should your accountant not be online with that version, you could export data from several reports available. Hope this helps!
Warm Regards,
Erzsi
