Execution error on launch of BusinessVision

For a few days now I have a user who is getting this error when they try to launch BusinessVision.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program and did not help.

    Error 240 when launching Sage BusinessVision program after March 30 2022 update from Microsoft

    Summary

    After March 30 2022, when launching Sage BusinessVision, I get error 240

    • BusinessVision.exe - COBOL Text Window
    • Execution error: file
    • "C:\BusinessVision\BCApplication.lbr\BCENVIRONMENT.gnt'
    • error code 240, pc-0, call = 1, seg = 0
    • 240 Object reference not valid

    Cause

    Microsoft released an update on March 30 2022, and it breaks Sage BusinessVision program

    Resolution

    To fix, repair the Microsoft 365:

    1. Open Control Panel, Programs & Features
    2. Highlight Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise -en-us with the installation date after March 30 2022
    3. Click Change and select Online repair

    When the repair completes, try to launch Sage BusinessVision again.
