Do we really need Windows Server software to support only 3 clients?

It would appear that Windows 10 Pro running on a i5 with adequate disk space would be satisfactory. Thanks for any help.

No you don't need a Windows Server for running a 3-User Setup.

Yes you can use a Dedicated Windows 10 Professional with i5 or i7 with adequate Disk Space and RAM.

Peer to Peer Networking doesn't offer much for security, as well as limiting the amount of auto-disconnect that Windows Desktop O/S does when idle at times. Yes you can google and adjust registry settings to eliminate that, but it's not always 100% fix.

The work around when it does disconnect is a very simple thing to fix.

    Questions:

    - Is Security between the machines and access very important and needs to be secure, as in machine access and fiile access.

    - Is maintaining connection between the machines adamant

    - Please go with Network Printers and not shared peer to peer printers
