Crystal Reports: Exporting to Excel

SOLVED

Hello,

I am trying to create a report that is just a single line of information for each customer.  I've suppressed all headers and footers.  There is just one line for details with the database fields that I need.  When I run the report it looks great on the screen, however when I export the report to Excel, there is a blank row in between each of my detail lines!  How do I get rid of this blank line showing up in Excel?

Thanks,

Jennifer

Make sure there is no spacing between the field and bottom of the details section. This is generally caused when there is a space between the field and in your case the bottom of the details section. You can eliminate this space by either increasing the height of the field to the full height of the section or decreasing the size of the details section to the bottom of the field. Hope this helps.

I had already made sure there was no space in that aspect. I've just noticed something else though, it's not quite a blank line. Excel is "wrapping" my text. After the report exported I was double clicking the width of the columns and then the lines looked blank, but now I see that if I don't expand the width, and look at the rows, they are wrapped! I've tried having my fields checked and unchecked with "Can Grow" and either way this is still happening.
