Changes reflected in the January 2016 Payroll Update

The January 2016 tax update contains modifications to payroll tax tables and calculations that are used by Sage BusinessVision. These modifications reflect the income tax changes announced by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) that are effective January 1, 2016. To find out more about all the tax changes, or to obtain any updated TD1 forms for January 2016, please contact your tax consultant or government tax offices. You can also visit the CRA Web site. http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca

In addition to payroll tax changes, this update also includes following:

  • The Sales Summary by Territory reports displayed incorrect values in base currency for invoices posted from orders where the customer was changed from a foreign currency customer to a base currency customer prior to posting.
  • The Timecard import utility incorrectly presented a warning that timecards already existed for the period under certain circumstances.
  • In the Point of Sale module, the field tab order skipped the unit price field with certain combinations of user and system settings.
  • Recurring GL Journal entries that used foreign currency amounts would post unbalanced transactions if the exchange rate changed.
  • Compatibility with Windows 10 32-bit and 64-bit.
  • Compatibility with Microsoft Office 2016.
