I am trying to record dividends for fiscal year end. In doing so, I tried to post against a G/L account 3600 'Current Earnings' which is already created and active, it is on the chart of accounts but, not listed for posting? Each time I try to post the G/L, a dial-up box appears called "Select account" ???? I verified set-up of G/L, comparing it to a similar G/L already created and don't understand where the problem is and how I post this entry? Just to be clear I am trying to Credit 2681 'Shareholder Loan' acct and Debit 3600 'Current Earnings' (Type X) acct.  Someone's soonest reply is much appreciated - thanks!
