When I was checking one of my 2014 G/L accounts fwd balance against my financial statements for Dec 31/13 I noticed that there was an error.  When I did the data check it says "Data Inconsistencies" and my debits and credits do not balance.  On backtracking everything was balanced until I did my year end closing entries.  My trial balance gives me one amount but my detailed G/L gives me the lesser/correct amount.  Unfortunately there wasn't an error message when I transferred into 2014 and the incorrect amount reflected in my trial balance was carried forward.  I have been on hold with Sage for close to 1/2 hour.  Any suggestions on how I fix this or am I going to have to go back to Dec /13 to a correct balance and re-enter everything.
