Changed my year-end to 2019 and the data for 2018 has been transferred to the new year… and in the Report shows current year as 2018?

Hi .. I've changed my year-end to 2019 and the data for 2018 has been transferred to the new year… and in the Report shows current year as 2018... What have I done wrong?

All the data was transferred to the new year.. and the new year is considered as 2018 instead of 2019.  I am able to open my sage maintenance date to today's date, but it's showing data of 2018.

    Please go back and describe how you changed your year end to 2019?

    Did you go to Maintenance, Start New Year?  The recommended way of moving from one fiscal year to another.

    Or did you go to Setup, Settings, Company, Information and change the Fiscal End to 2019?  So now you have a Fiscal Start of 2018 and Fiscal End of 2019 spanning 24 months?

    If the latter, go back and change the Session Date to your proper year end date and go back to Setup, Settings, Company Information and change the Fiscal End date to the proper year end for 2018.  Then backup and run the Start New Year process and see if you get what you wanted.

    Please make sure you backup your file before you transition to the new year.
