Does anyone know if the MS 64 bit email apps work with the new version of Sage. I have just downloaded and will do payroll soon.
thanks
All versions of Sage 50 up to now, have been 32 bit, so therefore, no!. The best advice I can offer is to uninstall Office 64 bit and install the 32 bit version of Office. Microsoft recommends using 32 bit Office, even on a 64 bit OS, because of technical limitations communicating between 32 bit and 64 bit software modules.

If you are constrained by criteria above (truly enormous data sets or data files), or just really, really want to use 64 bit Office, then there are some work-arounds that are reported to work, such as this one for Adobe Acrobat:
(P.S. I don't work for Sage, so this is not some 'official word' or 'party line' excuse, and I won't spend any of my time testing the various work-arounds, because I'm satisfied with Microsoft's recommendations.
I have been around I.T. long enough to remember these problems in the 8bit vs 16 bit 8086 'PC' vs 80286 'AT' days, and then the 16 bit vs. 32 bit problems with 16 and 32 bit software on Windows 95. My recollection is that generally, the older (16 bit) software was more stable due to longer development history, and could run multiple applications more easily under the constraints of the amount of RAM and CPU speed I could afford - MMX-166 Mhz with 4 MB)
