Once Microsoft stop windows 7 support in Jan 14 2020, then Sage will stop supporting it as well.  i.e. if the MySQL engine or MS .Net framework get update to a version where Windows 7 can not be installed, then you wont able to run the newer version of Sage 50.

Bottom line - at some point in order to use Sage I will be forced to upgrade to Windows 10. Is this correct?

Or continue to use your current version of Sage 50 if you don't require things like payroll updates or any other new enhancements as they come along. This is the same for all software updates running in a windows environment as they are not optimized for obsolete operating systems. Remember Windows 3, 95, Vista, or any others.

Thanks for the help. Think I might dedicate a machine to 10 & Sage.
