Emailing PDF Invoice is Blank

Hi,

I have not changed anything in my set up and this  was working last month, but now when I send my invoices by email, the attachment is blank.

Any help is appreciated.

If this is Sage 50 Canadian, you could try:

    1.  Under Setup | Reports & Forms | Invoice, Make sure that the email invoice template is still the correct one, or if it's the same as the print template that you're using, try to use Print Preview in the invoice screen to make sure it still works properly.

    2.  Reinstall the Sage software (or do a 'Reinstall' or 'Repair' for the Sage 50 program, from the Windows Control Panel.

I'm not sure whether Sage 50 uses the same PDF creating components when exporting a report vs. creating a PDF invoice to attach, but if both export to PDF and email have stopped working then reinstall or repair is definitely needed.

I hope that helps, please post back!

    Hi Randy,

There is no issue with printing. I can print fine and the print preview is correct as well.

When I try to open the emailed pdf invoice, I get the following error message from adobe

I am wondering if something has changed in my adobe settings.

Oh, so the file isn't blank, but may be corrupted when read from the email.  To know which, you could try:

Have you checked whether the email is readable on another computer, or can the recipient read it?

If you drag the attachment to the desktop, can you read it by opening it from there?

If so, the problem is with the workstation settings - possibly the anti-malware software or the email client (Outlook?) is acting up.

If not, the file is likely actually getting corrupted.

Have you tried exporting a report and opening it from a file folder?

If it's not readable on this workstation, can you put it on a memory stick and try opening it from another workstation?
