Show premiums paid by company as taxable benefit on T4

SUGGESTED

I don't know how to set up premiums paid by the company as a taxable benefit on the T4.  Also, should this show up on each pay or will it only show up on T4 at end of year?  Final question is how to do a year to date amount first and then add regularly going forward - our year end is December 31st but we haven't set it up yet.

    Hi Rustic Stix:

To setup taxable benefits you should calculate the benefits on each pay cheque. Since it is close to the end of the year I would suggest spreading the yearly taxable benefit to the remaining pay cheques for 2020 to eliminate any financial consequences for the company (E.G. CPP & EI). You can set up a benefit income amount for each type (E.G. Vehicle Allowance, Insurance, etc.). You will have to select the employees which the benefits are paid and include them on each cheque.
