I have found my icons are so big, they are all squished together, making them unreadable in a way different from having super tiny icons.

I tried changing the settings, but the icons remain all squished together in the ENHANCED VIEW. The CLASSIC VIEW won't let me have my Sales Order feature; takes me directly to an invoice, of which I don't want.

Sure, I can open an invoice to select Sales Order, but I have that with the oversized squished icons, just not with the regular view.

I cant move the window boxes to fix this, nor using the settings/user preferences to remedy.

Anyone have any workable Sage50 suggestions?

It's hard to tell from the image if you have the window maximised.  If not, try that.

If it is maximised, are you on Windows 11?  If so, the program is not compatible and has many known visual problems.  Sage is trying to get the next version Windows 11 compatible.

You can adjust the line position between the icons and the Customer's list at the right.  Click on the vertical line when you see the double-headed arrow and move the line right or left.  This may help.

Is your Windows Display Settings set to 125% or higher under Scale and Layout?  If so, bring it back down.

From my experience in the last week, Windows updates seem to be changing systems automatically and they are not suitable to working with Sage 50 at times.  I just checked my own system and Power is now set to Sleep in 1 hour and I had turned that off because I run Sage 50.  This was a problem with crashing at a client's office earlier this week.

Okay, I'm on Windows 10.  It is maximized.

The line between the icons does not move. You cant select it to move it, therefore it doesn't move.

125% is the only way i can read the tiny tiny tiny font. The reason the icons are bigger is the regular format with the 2 point font on a 32" monitor literally was making me go blind.

Sage 50 has a 125% viewing option that isnt compatible with its own layout. I see.

In short, the solutions are, suck it up all squished or go blind. Got it.

    (Wow that sucks. Lame)

I don't know why you can't move the line.  However, without knowing the version of the program you are using, it's hard to test.  I just tested 2013.2 and 2022.2 and both allow me to move the line.

I do not know if there are other solutions.  I have never experienced anything like what you are seeing on my systems or at any of my clients (no one has reported it).  The image you provided does not look like it comes from a 32" monitor but mine are only 24" so I can't really compare easily.  However, it does look like it comes from a resolution from the lower end of the scale (eg. 800x600 or 1280x768 - my own is at 1680x1050 and it looks ok to me).  I use the Windows magnifier when I need more clarity.

Was there anything in the Knowledgebase about this?  I didn't take the time to search it.

Naw, I spent 2 months pouring through the blogs, google searches etc and found nothing. It's why I came to the discussions.

UPDATE: I can move the fields vertically, not horizontally.

--> Placing the cursor NOT ON the line, but just beside it give me the adjustment icon. Horizontally is the option im looking for.

My boss is experiencing the same issue with his desktop at 125% too.
