From the sort order tab on the left of the screen, there is the option to custom sort the selected entries by Source, Comment, Date, or User instead of the (default) Journal Entry.

The Report by Number is a selection criteria option, as opposed to selecting a date range.  There is also an additional optional secondary custom filter to narrow down that selection.
