Program license expired, software needed reinstalling for read only but can't update to see data.

SOLVED

To make a long story short, I have a client who for years has been operating with Sage 50 Premium as set up under their old bookkeeper.  The program is so much more than they need and given the cost difference between Premium and Pro every single year, they decided to just suck it up and create a brand new file in Pro and just use the old Premium for "look up only" after their license expired and enjoy the simplified cheaper program into the future.

Everything was going well until today when I went to install Pro onto their computer and discovered that only 1 version of the 2021 Sage 50 could be on a computer at once.  OK, so we followed directions, uninstalled Premium and installed Pro.  It's all good to go now.  The (new) plan was to put the old data file onto a different computer that had Premium on it already and use it there when we had to do look-ups of the older historical transactions that we didnt put into Pro.  Now this computer HAS the 2021 version on it, but not the update from last week and their Premium license has expired over the weekend.

Is there any way anyone knows of to get the update (that we HAD last week on the computer I was forced to uninstall it from) onto the other computer.  We knew and were expecting the file to be "read only", it's just no good if we can't even open it.

I REALLY dont want to have to restore a backup from before the file was updated and re-enter everything from the past week if there's a better way.  I'm reserving this option as "Plan B"

Thank you
