need keycode

SUGGESTED

Hello, I had to replace a pc that had Sage on it and when I reinstalled sage I entered the Account ID and Serial number, however it is asking for a Key code and I am not sure what that is. Is there a way I can find out what the Key code is?

thank you for your help.

    Hi:

Try searching this phrase to find your key code on Sage's Portal:

Locating product serial numbers and activation codes on the Sage Customer Portal

It changes each time you update or reinstall.  You have to call to get this information.,

I'm sorry msdf but this is Simply not the case.

If you change Year versions, then yes a new serial number and keycode are necessary but reading WiderangeIT's first message, I am assuming the person is reinstalling the version that was already on the old system.

If so, then the person just needs to locate the Sage50AccountingRelxxxxActivation.txt file (where xxxx = Year of the program) on the old Desktop if it still exists.

If not, then they can open the sample file in the program on the old computer and go to Help, About Sage 50...., Support Info, assuming they do not have access to the Customer Portal.
