SA 2012 and Windows 10

I do NOT have any problem installing my SA 2012 Pro on my desktop. But I cannot restore my back up (which was done with windows 7). I receive a message that :

"Sage simply accounting cannot open the database because the database engine reported an error. Please see the error log for more information".

I don't know where the error file is and what is written on it. Please help me to restore my date.

Thanks,

Reza

The problem may not be with Windows 2010. When reinstalling Sage 50 CDN you have to make sure that you are installing all of the updates required to match your data file. If you are installing from your original CD/DVD or download then you are probably installing 2012.0. Each update after that would be 2012.1, 2012.2, 2012.3 and maybe even 2012.4. Which version were run running on your old computer as that will be what is required for the database to be able to be restored?

The downloads for the versions mentioned above may still be on your old computer.
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Sage Software\Simply Accounting\Download this is where Sage usually downloads updates or they could be under Downloads from your desktop.
Also, I just remembered that 2012 versions were letters not numbers so they would be 2012A, 2012B, 2012C, 2012D and 2012E.
