Microsoft Office 365 Features and Benefits - Sage 50 Cloud (Quantum level) Canadian version

SUGGESTED

Hi everyone,

We have been looking for information on detailed features and benefits of integrating Sage 50 Cloud Canadian version to Microsoft Office 365. We asked Sage support and asked for a call back through the main website specifically for O365 to no avail. We would like to know what integration provides at a module level, e.g. does it allow emailing of remittance advice to vendors (just one example). We are deciding if we should go through the process of integration but need to know what doing so provides us and if there are any downsides.

Thank you in advance for your help,

Tracy

    Hi ,

Thank you for your question. I've forwarded your comments onto the team and have asked them to follow up with you. Here's our site with details on what the Microsoft O365 integration for Sage 50 CA includes. There has been some changes over the years, the main benefits include being able to view customer details with Outlook when the customer and or vendors email, as long as, their contact details are within your Sage 50 CA database.

Microsoft OneDrive can be used for scheduled secure cloud backups of your Sage 50 data. This service in particular is engineered for security and data integrity so to avoid data corruption caused by bad internet connections or outages etc. Note that our other service called Remote Data Access, allows unlimited company data file uploads and up to 5 users to be set up with access to a database but is not a replacement for individual company file backups.

Hope this helps! Let us know if you need anything further.

    Warm Regards,

    Hi Erzsi,

Thank you for your response. Does Sage 50 Cloud Canada (Quantum level) allow emailing of remittances to vendors, or invoices to clients, BOTH singly and in bulk - and do we need O365 integration for this? Separately, can this email be from a generic email rather than a specific person's email (for example, a no reply email account)?

    Thank you,

    Tracy

    Hi

Just checked with the team to see if anything has changed regarding Sage 50 CA's functionality. The reports menu enables bulk emailing of customer statements for overdue/outstanding balances.

For vendors, you can use batch printing of payment stubs for Customers and Vendors. These can be emailed in bulk using a no-reply email account (be sure to set it as the default account in Sage 50 and in Outlook or as the sender's email in the Webmail option). See this article for more details.

    Hope this helps!
