Upgrade from 2020 to 2022 version of Sage Pro

I had the downloaded version of Pro 2020 (I assume it was Pro because I still have the CD from the 2019 version which was pro). My hard disk died therefore I lost Sage 50, and have to start from scratch. Lessons learned, I have back-ups from April 30th.

If I purchase Sage 50 Pro 2022, will I be able to open my company from the back-ups?

I've tried to chat with someone on-line on two occasions and they tell me I have to buy the newest version, but whenever I ask about using my back-ups I get flushed?!

I've seen that it can be done from 2013 to 2020 so I'm hoping it's the same from 2020 to 2022.

    Hi Gayleeliza:

    You can definitely upgrade from 2020 to 2022 as long as you have your data and are willing to pay for eternity or as long as you want to use Sage. On the bright side you can obtain the 2020 install files from us if you do not want to upgrade. With the information you have provided I am assuming you have a perpetual version otherwise Sage would have bothered you and asked you to pay for upgrades by now. There is a cost to obtain the install files but very minor considering you can have lifetime use of Sage 2020. All you need is your client id#, serial number and your key code. With internet access your key code can be obtained when you register your product during installation.
